What a Wonderful world es una envolvente canción de jazz que se estrenó en 1967 con un éxito moderado; el tema, compuesto por Bob Thiele y George David Weiss para Louis Amstrong, logró el reconocimiento del que actualmente disfruta al entrar a formar parte de la banda sonora de Good morning Vietnam en 1987, 20 años después de su estreno.
Se trata de una canción suave con un mensaje optimista y convincente, nos anima a ver y vivir más allá de las batallas diarias y los grandes problemas porque el mundo es maravilloso. Y lo canta Louis Amstrong, uno de los músicos más célebres de Nueva Orleans y referente ineludible para el jazz.
