Foo Fighters es una banda norteamericana creada y liderada en 1994 por Dave Grohl, hasta entonces conocido por ser el batería de Nirvana.
Teniendo en cuenta la natural ambigüedad de las letras de las canciones, la letra de The Pretender y, sobre todo, el video oficial de la canción, vienen a decirnos que no podemos fiarnos del poder y todas esas cosas relacionadas con la inestabilidad política y económica en la que estamos sumergidos.
