Éstos son algunos de los sobrenombres que ostentaba con orgullo y es que ni el soul ni el funk, ni tan siquiera el rock, sería hoy igual sin James Brown.
Claro que antes de tanto apodo y tanto éxito trabajó de limpia botas, recogiendo algodón... y robando piezas de coche; pisó la carcel y, tras ella... su vida cambió. Los 50 fueron para James Brown un renacer.
